NewTeeVee Mentions Qoof
August 22, 2007 – NewTeeVee.com, a leading video blog, cited Qoof as an example of user-created videos for the purpose of advertising. NewTeeVee is owned by Giga Omni Media, a leading online news provider.
The blog’s topic was “Here Come the YouTubes for Ads”, and discussed the application of user-generated advertising now being incorporated by well known media firms such as TBS and NBC.
In response to a blogger’s statement that a dedicated user-generated advertising channel does not exist, NewTeeVee posted Qoof’s name, along with several others, as proof that the medium is out there.
Not only did Qoof benefit from the exposure brought by this citation, but it is also evidence that more people are becoming aware of the promise of video as a low cost medium that still has wide reach and which can be an effective generator of revenue.
