What is a Usermercial?

A Usermercial is a user generated video created for the purpose of marketing a product or service in order to earn revenue.

Can anyone create a Usermercial?

Anyone with a flair for creativity and a desire to earn revenue should create a Usermercial. However, creators and publishers of videos must be over 16 years of age.

What are the guidelines I need to follow?

Qoof was designed to be the ultimate sales tool for people who want to deliver their sales pitch and marketing message through videos. We do ask that all the videos be fun compelling and in good taste in order to effectively harness the power of your message. Create a Video

Do I have to create the video myself?

In a nutshell, Yes. Because of strict copyright issues you can not use content created by other users, companies, professionals etc. without the written permission from the content owner. Therefore, you may not take a video off of other video sites, or play music, even in the background, without the permission of the content owner. In addition, anyone appearing in your usermercial must give you written permission to use them. If you are using a child under the age of 16 you need to get written permission from the parent or guardian.

Any other rules?

Yes. You need to follow the terms and conditions of the affiliate program in which you are a member. These rules probably include “false claims”. An example is stating that you lost 30 lbs. in 3 weeks by using the product you are marketing when in fact it took you 4 weeks.

What language can be used?

We welcome Usermercials in any language. In fact it is possible to search our database by language as long as it is tagged as being in the specific language.

Are their any limitations that I should know about?

Based on our experience the most effective messages can be delivered in 3 minutes or less. Therefore, we are limiting the length of a video to a maximum of 3 minutes. Also during beta you are limited to posting just 10 usermercials, so choose your best ones wisely. In the near future we will allow you to post more.

Do I have to be a member of an affiliate program?

Only if you want to make money. Currently Qoof gives you the ability to earn money by combining your creativity with an affiliate program by associating your Usermercial with their affiliate code. However, even if you are not a member of an affiliate program we encourage you to create usermercials now and upload them to our database for future profit potential.

Where will my usermercials appear?

They will be indexed on our site, www.qoof.com and we may post it on other sites as well in order to maximize your profit potential. In addition we generate code for your usermercial, in 3 sizes, that will allow you or anyone to post your usermercials on any blog, website, or social networking site.

How does Qoof make money on Usermercials? Do you take a piece of our affiliate earnings?

We are not in this business to make money! Well not from your affiliate earnings anyway! 100% of any affiliate income that results from a Usermercial that you created goes to you.
